Paris Fashion Week

Fashion Week arrives in the French capital each winter and the dates this year are from February 27th to March 6th. It's your dream opportunity to see dazzling dresses and beautifully-designed shoes and clothing that might have been made for a queen.

Flashlights ready in the City-Light

Every year, New York, London, Milan and (especially) Paris are the capitals of fashion for a few weeks. The greatest designers and upcoming stars of tomorrow present their new men's, women's, ready-to-wear and Haute-Couture collections to the world. Shows have been revealing seasonal novelties and setting new trends since the first Fashion Week parade in Paris back in 1973.

The fashion press is there in force, delighted to be able to photograph the models as they sway along the catwalk, spectators as they gaze in wonder at each new creation, and A-list regulars, from fashion aficionados to celebrities, as they comment, applaud and take note of their favourites.

Tempted by a show?

If you don’t have an invitation, patience and infinite constancy will be needed if you want to hear the clatter of heels on the podium amid the crackle of flashlights and the swirl of colourful fabrics. Invites are only distributed in small quantities to the privileged, fashion professionals, and potential buyers.

You'll need to browse the net to find information on the venues before dressing in your trendiest outfit and best smile for your approach to the person responsible for the guest list. The doors will open to a lucky few and you'll find a list of events and times issued by the Federation of Haute Couture and Fashion online. Unfortunately, you won't find venues listed. Grab your magnifying glass and laptop and get searching! Good luck!
