A romantic walk in Paris on Valentine's Day

Paris, city of love, is the ideal destination in which to celebrate the special day of lovers. The Roch Hotel will welcome you in the most beautiful way for Valentine's Day. Read on to discover some ideas for walks and romantic outings near your hotel…

Out for a stroll

Why not start by going to see the large glass and metal pyramid in the main courtyard of the Louvre? From there, you can go for a walk in the beautiful aisles of the Jardin des Tuileries to the Place de la Concorde. Intimate, romantic, peaceful, this garden is the perfect place for timeless moments for two. Then head to the Rue Saint-Honoré. The major fashion and haute couture brands have their outlets there, alongside art galleries and antique dealers. And you can also take a short detour to the elegant Place Vendôme to choose a ring from one of the luxury jewellers situated in this magnificent neoclassical square.

An evening in Paris

In the evening, you will only have to go a few steps to reach the Palais Garnier and attend a performance by the Paris Opera. The opera Peter Grimes by Benjamin Britten and the ballet choreography of George Balanchine are currently playing there. Also just a few minutes from the Roch Hotel & Spa is the Comédie Française, the world’s longest established national theatre, which lovingly maintains the esprit du Français of Molière. A little further away, you can discover the new version of one of the greatest cabarets in Paris: the Lido. This venue on the Champs-Élysées is, appropriately enough, currently staging a revival of the famous musical, Cabaret.

Paris is the perfect setting for a successful Valentine's Day. Close to the Roch Hotel & Spa, you’ll be spoiled for choice for a romantic stroll. And, upon your return, you can take advantage of all the hotel's services, such as its Spa, indoor swimming pool and restaurant.
