An art gallery outing...

The Roch Hotel & Spa invites you today to stroll along the Rue Saint-Honoré to discover the many art galleries of this iconic street. Heading towards the Élysée Palace and the Rue de Miromesnil, you will come across some of the most prominent Parisian galleries along the way.

The art of the 20th century and beyond

The galleries of the 1st and 8th arrondissements offer a very wide panorama of the current art market. At the moment, the Hélène Bailly Gallery is offering a variety of works grouped under the theme “Art from 1940 to the Present Day”. The canvases of Dubuffet and Soulages hang alongside, for example, those of Hans Hartung. A few steps further, the Galerie de la Présidence is focussing on the work of Albert Marquet. Currently, you will also find various superb paintings displayed there from Maurice de Vlaminck’s Cézanian period. Finally, the Galerie Éric Coatalem is exhibiting around twenty pastels by the contemporary Italian artist Giovanni Viola, in which the beauty of the Sicilian light shines through.

Access the world of art

The galleries on the Rue Saint-Honoré also invite you to enjoy encounters such as the one with the work of the Catalan artist Jordi Alcaraz at the Galerie Mayoral. Both painter and sculptor, he mixes plastic traditions to offer a reflection on time, volume and language. The Galerie Boris is playing host to the birds of the Serbian artist Danka Dimitrijevic, powerful compositions that seize your attention. Prefer more classic works? Discover the 17th century Dutch artist Ana Maria Janssens at the Galerie Florence de Voldère or the original editions of Dangerous Liaisons exhibited by the Librairie Jadis et Naguère…

Whether you are looking for a specific style or artist or you are inspired by new discoveries, you have come to the right place...
