From Colette to Yves

Our dear neighbour and creator of the concept store that bears her name will close her doors for the final time on December 20, 2017. It's an opportunity for us to say goodbye and good luck in the new life that awaits as well as a chance to welcome the Yves Saint-Laurent store which is pencilled in to replace Colette on one of the French capital's most prestigious streets.

Colette – dressing Paris for 20 years

Colette's aim was to bring fashion, design, music, books, perfume, beauty and, surprising as it may seem, high technology together in one place. It was a place where the interior design would change constantly according to the products on display. Once described by Forbes magazine as the trendiest shop in Paris, the store was opened by Colette and her daughter Sarah in 1997. Over the past 20 years, Colette has collaborated with some of the world's most prestigious brands.  Sadly, this beautiful adventure has come to an end and it's time to pass the baton to another designer.

Welcome Yves Saint-Laurent

It is rumoured that Yves Saint-Laurent, the must-have high fashion brand may open at 231 rue Saint-Honoré. Meanwhile, visit the Yves Saint-Laurent Museum and retrace the life and work of the great couturier through some of the House's most iconic designs. Exhibits also include patterns, sketches, photos and archival documents. Located at 5 Avenue Marceau, the museum was the site of the couture house that was opened by Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé in 1974. Delve into the world of the renowned designer, see his workshops and learn about the revolutionary cutting techniques that revolutionised 20th century fashion.

We'd like to thank Colette for making this prestigious neighbourhood even more beautiful and extend our warmest welcome the House of Saint-Laurent which will soon open its new store next to the Roch Hotel & Spa.
